Does insurance cover physical therapy?

Health insurance generally covers physical therapy treatment. However, each insurance plan is different, and you should contact your insurance carrier and inquire about physical therapy benefits. Please contact our staff to see if we accept your plan.

Do you take late appointments?

Yes, our hours at our Portsmouth office are Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept cash, checks, and the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Do you communicate with my doctor?

Following your initial visit, a Plan of Care is sent to the physician who referred you to our clinic. During the course of your treatment, progress notes are sent to your doctor.

How long will my appointments be?

Your first appointment will take approximately 1 1/2 hours. You should plan to arrive 15 minutes early in order to complete the new patient paperwork. Please bring your physician/insurance referral as well as your insurance card. You should also wear
comfortable clothing. Your physical therapist will take a detailed medical history and evaluate your specific condition with objective tests and measurements. Follow-up visits are approximately 45 minutes long.

What are my options when I have completed physical therapy?

Once your therapy is complete, we offer a Wellness Program to patients who would like to continue their exercise program under the guidance of our staff. Patients can participate in this program on a monthly basis for a nominal fee. Please ask our staff for more details about our Wellness Program.
